Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - The pensioners and the disabled people who hold entrepreneur’s patent will be able to ask for the return of the health insurance premium in fixed sum paid for the 2023 year. The procedure of returning the money is provided for in a regulation approved by the government today.

Thus, to get back the money paid this year for the insurance premium, the applicant or his/her representative is to submit an application to the territorial agency of the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) in the territorial area of which the applicant has the residence.

The return of the insurance premium will be made, if the applicant has not debts at the payment of the premium in fixed sum or of penalties. At the same time, he/she will benefit from the return of the premium, if he/she does not independent activity in the field of retail trade and is not registered as individual entrepreneur.

The application will be able to be sent with the attachment of the applicant’s banking data. If the application is submitted through a representative, he/she must attach the document which confirms his/her empowerment.

The regulation on the procedure of return of the mandatory health insurance premiums in fixed sum for 2023 will enter into force with its publication in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).

In last March, the parliament made amendments to the legislation, according to which the pensioners and people with severe disabilities, pronounced or medium ones, who concomitantly hold the entrepreneur’s patent, are not obliged to pay the mandatory health insurance premium in fixed sum.
