Moldova, Azerbaijan to continue cooperation in energy, economic sectors - deputy premier says

Chisinau, Oct. 30 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova and Azerbaijan will continue promoting the cooperation in the energy, economic, agricultural and investment sectors. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu made the statement, following a meeting with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Chisinau Gudsi Osmanov.

Popescu said that the dialogue focused on issues of common interest. "We have noticed a significant intensification of cooperation relations over the past years, both at the high level and at the level of the specialized institutions of both countries. We also referred to the importance of continuing efforts to promote sectoral cooperation between Moldova and Azerbaijan in the energy, trade-economic, agricultural and investment sectors", he said.

The official also spoke about "Moldova's firm commitment to supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and appreciation for the solid friendship between the two countries".
