Moldovan Central Electoral Commission accredits 194 international observers for monitoring of general local elections due on 5 November

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC), at a today’s meeting, accredited international observers and confirmed journalists for the coverage and monitoring of the general local elections due on 5 November this year.

Thus, CEC accredited 194 people as international observers on behalf of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights for the monitoring of the general local elections.

At the same time, 11 journalists were confirmed on behalf of the VOCEA MEDIA (MEDIA VOICE) Ltd Company for the coverage and monitoring of the general local polls.

As many as 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors, of whom 9,972 village (commune), town councilors and 1,086 district/municipal councilors, will be elected at the general local elections due on 5 November 2023.
