Road workers start repair of regional road in southeast of Moldova

Chisinau, Oct. 31 /MOLDPRES/- State Road Administration (ASD) announced today the start of repair works on G108 road, M5 – Florești – Anenii Noi, km 9.00-16.08, Stage I.

According to the institution, this road is of significant importance, ensuring connectivity between the southeast of the Republic of Moldova and the M5 road, which passes through the center and north of the country, being an important access road to numerous sand quarries in the area.

"The project aims to carry out road repair works, which include consolidation and earthworks, road system, sidewalks, access to yards, thus increasing safety and mobility in the region. The length of the section subject to repair is 7 kilometers, and the completion of the works is planned for December 2024", indicates ASD.

The project amounts to about 82 million lei (4.1 million euros), allocated from the Road Fund.
