Chisinau, Nov. 3 /MOLDPRES/- The national program to boost returns and facilitate (re)integration of Moldovan citizens involved in the migration process for 2023-2027 was published in the Official Journal today.

Through the Program, the authorities aim to support citizens who decide to return to the Republic of Moldova, to identify solutions for the problems they face during the return process and to provide the necessary support for integration into the labor market. According to the document, the launch of businesses will be supported and the experience of the diaspora will be used, which can contribute to the modernization of the country and economic development.

The Program's goal is that by 2027, the Republic of Moldova will have an effective system for stimulating the return and facilitating (re)integration of citizens affected by migration, by ensuring the entire cycle of policies, services and through sustainable assistance and support tools implemented so that at least 10% of citizens abroad express their firm intention to return and at least 50% of returned citizens are (re)integrated.

The program includes an Action Plan that establishes the medium-term objectives and the activities to be carried out at the local and national level.

In the last 20 years, migration has become a characteristic phenomenon of the Republic of Moldova, with multiple demographic, social, cultural and economic consequences.
