Former head of state Igor Dodon to held position of councilor in Chisinau Municipal Council

Chisinau, 6 November /MOLDPRES/ - The former head of state, Igor Dodon, is to hold the office of councilor in the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), following the general local elections.

According to the official page of the Central Electoral Commission (CMC), he is the first on the list candidates for the office of CMC councilors on behalf of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) at the general local elections from 5 November.

According to the preliminary results published by CEC, the National Alternative Movement Party got 33.1 per cent of the mandates in CMC and the Action and Solidarity Party – 32.8 per cent. They are followed by PSRM with 9.6 per cent.

Igor Dodon held the office of municipal councilor in the capital in 2011.
