Foreign ministry received approval from Israeli, Egyptian authorities on evacuation of Moldovans from Gaza Strip

Chisinau, Nov. 7 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MAEIE) received the approval from the Israeli and Egyptian authorities on the evacuation of Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip, through the Rafah crossing point.

"The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv has informed the Moldovan citizens about the necessary procedures, and their evacuation to Egypt is going to take place today, respecting the security requirements", said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Currently, the consular officer is at the Rafah crossing point, where he will welcome the evacuated citizens and provide the necessary consular assistance.

In total, 51 Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip requested assistance, including evacuation.
