Moldovan foreign affairs minister has phone conversation with Romanian counterpart

Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has had a phone conversation with Foreign Affairs Minister of Romania Luminita Odobescu, following the publication of the EU’s Enlargement Report, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service reported.

During the discussion, the Moldovan diplomat expressed gratitude for the constant support of Romania for the European integration way of Moldova. The 8 November significant moment, when the European Commission recommended the starting of the negotiations on accession with Moldova, was possible include due to the constant backing on behalf of Romania.

Also, due to the Romanian partners, who made available an airship Cairo-Bucharest, we managed to evacuate 36 Moldovan citizens in safety from the Gaza Strip, who arrived home today. In this difficult situation, Romania again proved the solidarity with Moldova.
