Moldovan president congratulated Jewish community of Moldova on Hanukkah Festival of Lights

Chisinau, Dec. 7 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu conveyed a congratulatory message to the Jewish community of Moldova, which in the coming days marks Hanukkah Festival of Lights.

"Dear members of the Jewish community, I congratulate you on the brightest holiday of the Jewish people, Hanukkah, wishing you peace in your homes and hearts. Hanukkah is the great reason for joy for all Jewish believers, it is the period of almsgiving, goodness and generosity. The candles are lit to celebrate the triumph of Good over all the attempts to destroy the Jewish people and religion," said Maia Sandu.

"This year, however, it will also burn for peace, serenity of thoughts, good of the children. May the holidays bring peace, solidarity and good understanding to everyone. Hag Hanuka Sameah!", wished the head of state.
