Moldovan electoral body took note of reports on financing of electoral campaign of general local elections, runoff

Chisinau, Dec. 12 /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) took note of the reports on the financing the electoral campaign of the general local elections, the runoff, presented by the candidates.
17 political parties were warned about the need to comply with the legal provisions and obliged to submit the corrected report on the financing the electoral campaign by December 15. At the same time, four political parties were warned to present the statements on funds in the Electoral Fund account.
At today's meeting, the CEC ordered the recount of the ballots for the position of mayor of Brînzenii Noi village, Telenești district, in the runoff elections, held on November 19. The decision comes in the context of the decision of the Chisinau Court of Appeal of December 1 and the conclusion of the Supreme Court of Justice of December 8. The recount procedure will be carried out on December 14 at the latest, and the result of the vote recount will be made known to the CEC on December 15 at the latest.
