Term of implementation of local development projects to be extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 December /MOLDPRES/ -The term of implementation of the local development projects will be extended. The government today approved amendments to the regulation on the management of the financial means of the national fund for regional and local development.  

The Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry noted that the decision had been taken, given that, ‘’while taking into account the technical circumstances triggered by the economic crisis in the region, the projects included in the single programme document will not be finished this year.’’  

Thus, through the draft government decision, the national council of coordination of the regional and local development is given possibility to establish, in exceptional and justified way, the extension of the terms of carrying out local development projects.     

At the same time, the draft sees the capping of the quantum of allocations for rural development projects, taking into account the number of the residents of the beneficiary settlement and introduction of the contribution of applicants for the projects with a size of financial allocations worth between three and ten million lei (500,000 euros).
