Transport services between Moldova and EU countries to be improved

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The regular and special regular international road transport services between Moldova and the European Union countries will be improved. The MPs on 15 December evening ratified the Protocol to the Agreement on the international occasional carriage of passengers by coach and bus.

The additional Protocol will regulate the international transport services. Respectively, passengers from Moldova travelling by coach or bus to or from the European Union will benefit from better conditions.

More exactly, according to the conditions and the procedure of authorization established by the protocol, the transport operators will be obliged to post the route, stops, schedule, tariffs and this information must be accessible for all passengers.

The ratification of the protocol provides benefits also to the transport operators, who will get the permissive acts easier. At the same time, the ratification of the document will support the integration of the national transport system into the European system.
