Moldovan government doubles one-off allowance upon birth of child - 20 thousand lei

Chisinau, Dec. 21 /MOLDPRES/- Starting from January 1, 2024, one-off allowance upon the birth of the child will be increased by 9,068 lei, from 10,932 to 20,000 lei. Government approved a decision in this regard today, the government's communication department has reported.
The increase of the one-off allowance at the birth of the child is part of the measures of the Budget for 2024, Investing for children, and contributes to the implementation of the government's program Prosperous, safe, European Moldova.
According to the National Social Insurance House, in 2024, over 33 thousand families will benefit from one-off allowance upon the birth of the child.
