Over 540 projects included in European Village, Express European Village Programs completed in 2023

Chisinau, 2 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- 541 projects included in the European Village and Express European Village programs were completed in 2023. They brought benefits to about 358 thousand citizens from rural communities.

Out of 497 projects approved under the European Village program, 264 have already been completed. Their value is nearly 658 million lei (32.9 million euros) from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development.

Another 277 projects, worth 101 million lei, were completed through the Express European Village program, which offers the opportunity for 399 town halls to implement local development initiatives.

In 13 localities in the country, nursery groups were renovated from the total of 22 projects.

According to the National Office for Regional and Local Development, the deadline for the implementation of the European Village program has been extended by six months, and the mayors have three more months to complete the projects within the Express European Village program.
