Moldovan sappers neutralize over 900 explosive objects, 13,000 cartridges in 2023

Chisinau, 3 January /MOLDPRES/ - National Army’s sappers in 2023 carried out 163 missions of demining, in the wake of which they detected and neutralized 991 explosive objects and 13,031 cartridges.
According to the head of the engineering service, Igor Livițchi, last year, military sappers intervened in all districts of Moldova, most often being demanded in Anenii Noi, Hancesti, Stefan Voda, Ungheni and Orhei.
All ammunition dated back from the period of the World War II and posed high risk to life.
