Roadmen ask drivers to avoid unnecessary trips, national routes unsafe

Chisinau, 8 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The State Road Administration (ASD) announces that traffic on all national roads is carried out in winter conditions, as they are affected by sleet and snow. The road is icy and snowy. Dense fog persists in some areas, visibility is reduced, and the risk of road accidents is increased.
Road crews work to remove snow and spread anti-skid material. "212 special vehicles and about 170 road workers are trained in the process. 1576.5 tons of technical salt, 151.5 tons of manual anti-skid material and about 351 tons of mechanized anti-skid material were spread", explains ASD.
In this context, ASD recommends drivers to avoid traveling in such weather conditions.
