Moldovan wines exhibited for tasting in Italy's parliament

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - Top wines produced in Moldova have been exhibited for tasting in the Chamber of Deputies of Italy’s parliament.

The guests of the event were able to taste eight wines of the highest quality, produced by one of the Moldovan wineries which had got most medals.

The event brought together MPs, representatives of the government and business people. It was organized at an initiative and with the involvement of the head of the Moldovan-Italian groups of friendship from the Italian parliament, Beatriz Colombo.

Moldova’s Ambassador to Italy Anatolie Urecheanu thanked for the possibility a field of excellence from Moldova, such as the wine-making sector, to a prestigious public. The diplomat stressed that the action was perceived as a gesture of friendship and of support on behalf of the Italian parliament.

The event is part of a string of activities on the promotion of Moldovan products in Italy, planned for by Moldova’s Embassy in Rome for the 2024 year.
