Mosaic on facade of building of Chisinau-based Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre to be included in register of monuments

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The mosaic on the façade of the building of the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre will be introduced in the national Register of public forum monuments. The parliament adopted a draft law stipulating this.
The mosaic dates back from 1974 and was earlier on the façade of the former building of the Cultural Centre of Trade Unions on the Kiev Street No 7. In 2020-2022, the mosaic was restored and moved to the façade of the auxiliary building of the Maria Biesu National Opera and Ballet Theatre. In the context, the national Register of public forum monuments is needed to be amended.
