Construction of National Sports Tourism HUB in central Moldova carried out almost to half level

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The team implementing the regional projects  from the Centru Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru) on 17 January paid a monitoring visit to the site of construction of the National Sports Tourism HUB from the central Anenii Noi town. According to the report presented, the construction works reached a progress of 45 per cent, marking a significant stage in the development of this regional development project.    

„So far, the works of construction of the main building have been finished, which will host the Centre for training the national Olympic teams for the disciplines of triathlon, cycling, motor-cross and kayak-canoe, as well as the work of an academy for children. The setting of the interior network is completed and the finishing works are underway. Also, a notable progress was made at the start platform and the lane for cyclists and BMX is being set. The embankment works were started and will continue as the weather conditions improve. The final stage of the project regards the arrangement of the adjacent area of the already carried out constructions,’’ ADR Centru said.       

The project benefits from financial support worth over 28 million lei (1.4 million euros), allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL). The main goal of this project is to develop the sports tourism in the Centru Region, thus contributing to the diversification of the activities of recreation and consolidation of the tourist infrastructure. ‘’ADR Centru, under the aegis of the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry, backs the local authorities in the continuous process of development of the tourist infrastructure in the Centru Region, taking into account the benefits brought to the residents of the region,’’ ADR Centru added.
