Moldovan farmers can submit applications for subsidies in advance for land improvements, soil's protection

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) informs about the launch of a call of submission of applications asking for subsidies in advance for investments projects on land improvements and soil’s protection. The applications are submitted on the period starting from 15 January till 15 March 2024.

The files on asking for the subsidy are regarded as eligible according to the criteria of evaluation established in the Regulation on the conditions and the procedure of providing of subsidies in advance for investment projects on land improvements and implementation of the Programme on Land Improvements, in order to ensure the sustainable management of the soil resources for 2021-2025, approved under government decision.   

Sub-measures available for asking for the subsidy in advance: Sum-measure No 1: Prevention and combating of soil’s erosion; Sub-measure No 2: Chemical improvement of soils; Sub-measure No 3: Conservation and enhancement of the soils’ fertility.   

The application on asking for the subsidy in advance must be submitted by the applicant to the territorial subdivision of the Agency of Interventions and Payments for Agriculture, after which it is transmitted to the National Agency of Land Improvements for evaluation and approval.

„The launch of this call regards the stimulation of investment projects on land improvements, by promoting sustainable practices and contributing to the efficient management of the soil resources.
