CEC: 19 political parties failed to submit financial management report

Chisinau, 19 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- 19 political parties failed to present financial management report for the second semester of 2023.

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), for the late presentation or non-presentation of reports on financial management, the Commission initiated 19 contraventional processes regarding the formations that did not comply with the legal provisions. In accordance with the Contravention Code, they risk sanctions in the form of a warning or a fine from 120 to 400 conventional units (6 thousand - 20 thousand lei) applied to the responsible person or legal entity.

At the same time, out of the 61 political parties 42 parties submitted the financial management report for the second semester of 2023 on time.

The political parties were supposed to present the reports by January 15.
