243 legislative initiatives submitted by MPs in 2023

Chisinau, 23 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- 490 normative acts were submitted to the parliament for consideration in 2023. 85% of them were examined and approved by parliament.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, the deputies were authors of 243 legislative initiatives, i.e. almost half of the total number of projects that entered the legislative procedure. 38.3% of the legislative initiatives (188 projects) belong to the government, 57 - to the president of the Republic of Moldova, and two - to the People's Assembly of Gagauzia.

The parliamentary fractions submitted 225 projects, and the standing bureau – 18 normative acts. Most legislative initiatives were presented by MPs of the Action and Solidarity Party faction - 190 projects. Members of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists faction submitted 25 legislative initiatives. Ten other legislative initiatives were presented by non-affiliated MPs.
