Moldovan government expands list of performance athletes getting monthly scholarship

Chisinau, 24 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The number of performance athletes, beneficiaries of monthly scholarships will increase. Government approved a decision today, the government's communication department has reported.

According to the document, performance athletes will receive monthly scholarships for places 1-16, won at the World Championships, 1-12 at the European Championships and places 1-6 at the World University Games, held every two years.

So far, financial means from the state have been awarded only for gold, silver or bronze medals - first, second and third place. In 2023, 143 athletes of our country benefited from monthly scholarships.
