Moldovan president congratulates employees of State Protection and Guard Service on professional day

Chisinau, 26 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has congratulated the officers and the civilian employees of the State Protection and Guard Service (SPPS) on the eve of their professional day and the 32nd anniversary of SPPS’ foundation, the presidential press service has reported.    

The head of state expressed gratitude for the work carried out by the SPPS employees. She highlighted the exemplary mobilization of the State Protection and Guard Service in the process of organization and hosting of the greatest international event in Moldova’s history – the meeting of the European Political Community.    

Also, as a token of appreciation for the professionalism and the work carried out, President Maia Sandu awarded more state distinctions to institution’s employees. The head of state stressed that, in its capacity of future EU member state, Moldova would have to bring its contribution to the European security space and this implies an increased attention paid to the consolidation of the institutions in the national security sector.   

The Moldovan president also said that it is important that all strictures of this field turn to good account the possibilities to make international exchanges of experience and good practices, take over and implement the newest techniques and ways of work.
