As many as 160 recently conscripted young people sworn to their colours

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - About 160 young people recently conscripted to the National Army today were sworn to their colours at a ceremony held in units of the garrisons from Cahul and Chisinau.   

Attending the event which took place at the Dacia Motorized Infantry Brigade, the commandant of the National Army, Eduard Ohladciuc,  congratulated the soldiers on this occasion. He noted that, on the period of the seasoned military service, young people would develop professional skills, which will be useful for them during national and international exercises, both in Moldova and abroad. In the context, the official highlighted the results of the soldiers recorded during the initial training period and the efforts of the commanders for their training for the fulfillment of the missions established.  

Till the taking of oath, the young people were trained during five weeks within the initial training course. During this course, they studied the military regulations, the elements of the front instruction and the technical and tactical characteristic features of the National Army’s weapons.   

Following the ceremony, the soldiers enjoy five days of leave, after which they return to the units to continue the seasoned military service.
