Moldovan foreign affairs minister has meeting with Ambassador of Ukraine

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi has had a meeting with Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova Marko Shevchenko. The officials tackled subjects on the current agenda of the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations, the security situation in the region, the Foreign Affairs Ministry’s (MAE) press service reported.

„I thanked Mr. Ambassador for Ukraine defending the freedom and the European values in the region and I assured him that Moldova stayed in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and would provide every support needed. We agreed on cooperating as closely as possible on our common way of becoming European Union members as soon as possible,’’ Minister Popsoi said.
