Director of Energy Community Secretariat approached Moldova's progress

Chisinau, Feb. 2 /MOLDPRES/-The higher the degree of energy security, the faster the Republic of Moldova approaches the European Union. Director of the Energy Community Secretariat Arthur Lorkowski made the statement after the meeting with members of the economy, budget and finance commission, the environment, climate and green transition commission and the foreign policy and European integration commission.

The participants in the meeting approached Moldova's progress in the energy sector, one of them being the liberalization of the natural gas. "Last year, the Republic of Moldova made progress in stabilizing energy security, and this opens new opportunities for reforms in the field," Arthur Lorkowski pointed out.

Head of the commission for economy, budget and finance Radu Marian referred to the reform agenda in the energy security, which is to be implemented in the next period. 

During the discussions, the director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community expressed his readiness to continue providing support to the Republic of Moldova in ensuring energy security.
