Deputy PM for European Integration, EU Ambassador to Moldova discuss country's European agenda

Chisinau, 5 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov has had a meeting with Ambassador of the European Union to Moldova Jānis Mažeiks. The Moldovan official reiterated Moldova’s firm commitment to start the negotiations with the European Commission, the government’s communication reported.    

The sides discussed the initiation of the assessment of the degree of compliance of the national legislation with the European standards, as well as the need to establish a common calendar of actions for this year.    

Also, the officials referred to the working out and approval of the framework of negotiations, which is to take into account the importance of the transparency, coherence and predictability of this process. ‘’We will continue to closely cooperate for the success of Moldova’s European integration,’’ Deputy PM Cristina Gherasimov said.
