Moldovan authorities launch process of urban revitalization of Centru Region cities

Chisinau, 20 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Centru Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru) has given the start, through the signing of contracts on financing, for projects on the urban revitalization and mobility, planned to be initiated this year.   

Among the projects scheduled, there is the development of the integrated system of urban transport in the Ungheni city, turning to good account of the meadow of the Cogalnic river, through arranging the leisure areas in the Hancesti city, reconstruction of the sports complex from Telenesti, reconstruction of the Mihai Eminescu pedestrian boulevard and the arrangement of the riparian park from the Criuleni town, etc.      

These projects were included in the Single Programme Document for 2022-2024 and will be implemented by ADR Centru, with financing from the National Fund for Regional Development. The overall value of the works planned within these projects is of more than 183 million lei (9.15 million euros), of which 143 million lei is asked from the National Fund of Regional and Local Development.  

„The indexes achieved following the carrying out of these projects aim at modernizing the urban infrastructure and at creating innovating public spaces, bringing tangible benefits to the local communities, contributing to the economic and social development of the Centru Region,’’ ADR Centru said.   

ADR Centru will soon initiate public tenders for the selection of entrepreneurs due to carry out the construction works within these projects.
