Moldovan president, teachers discuss referendum on Moldova's accession to EU

Chisinau, 21 February /MOLDPRES/ - The consultations with the civil society on the organization of the referendum on Moldova’s accession to the European Union continued at the Presidency’s headquarters today. More headmasters, teachers and educators from the country’s education institutions were invited to the discussions.
According to the presidential press service, President Maia Sandu stressed that the young people deserved having a future in freedom, in the great family of the European countries, which can be edified only together by the entire society. The head of state noted that the European integration was about peace, safety, human rights, welfare and was not a project of a single political party, but of all citizens.
The Moldovan president highlighted the importance of a correct communication and informing of the pupils about the process of accession to EU. She urged the teachers, schools’ managers to discuss this subject at school activities, so that we together educate a generation of people who understand the value of the freedom and value it.
The series of consultations will continue in the weeks to come.
