Decision by National Energy Regulatory Agency on decreasing gas tariff published in Moldova's Official Journal

Chisinau, 23 February /MOLDPRES/ - The citizens will pay less for the gas consumed as of today. The new prices entered into force, after the decision by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) on decreasing the gas tariffs had been published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) today.

Thus, the household consumers will pay a tariff of 13.39 lei (without value added tax) for one cubic metre of gas, which is by 3.3 lei less than so far.

ANRE took the decision on the cutting of the tariff on 21 February. The institution found out ‘’the existence of objective factors which condition the revision of the price, with priority being the cutting of the annual purchasing cost of the gas.’’

The last change of the tariffs for gas was made in June 2023, when the prices dropped by 38 per cent or by about 11 lei.
