Moldovan citizens to pay less for heating as of 21 March

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - The citizens will pay less for the electric and thermal energy starting from today. The new prices entered into force today, following the concerned decisions, approved by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) on 19 March, had been published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).  

Thus, under ANRE’s decision on the new tariffs for electric energy, the household consumers from the central and southern Moldova will pay 2.34 lei for one kWh, down by 0.05 lei against earlier. At the same time, the tariff for the consumers from northern Moldova will be of 2.84 lei for one kWh, by 0.04 less against the earlier tariff.   

The citizens will pay less for heating as well. Thus, the Moldovan capital’s residents served by the Termoelectrica enterprise will pay 2,138 lei for one Gcal (without value added tax – VAT)), down by 636 lei than at present. At the same time, the consumers from Balti, served by the CET-Nord enterprise, will pay 2,245 lei for one Gcal (without VAT), which is by 970 lei less than so far.
