Moldovan president's visit to Cimislia district

Chisinau, April 4 /MOLDPRES/ - On a working visit to Cimislia district, President Maia Sandu participated for the first time in a civic education lesson at the invitation of Hyperion High School in Gura Galbenei village.

The head of state spoke to students of 10th- 12th grades about peace, freedom, democracy, their experience of participating in the election of the student council in their school. The President also discussed with the high school students the benefits of EU membership for the young generation, the active involvement of students in local decision-making processes and important projects for the country - from the afforestation programme to the EU accession project.

Also today, the official visited the local kindergarten while the children played in the playground. The kindergarten was renovated with the support of the American people and a contribution from the municipality and is a model for other kindergartens. "This is how European Moldova is built, through unity, joint effort and hard work", she said.
