Several farmers applied for agricultural working capital

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/- In the first three weeks of launch, the agricultural working capital product has been applied for by ten farmers, and five applications have already been approved. Another five are underway, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) has reported.

The new financial facility sees a state guarantee of up to 1 million 600 thousand lei (80 thousand euros), but no more than 80% of the loan amount. This financial instrument is designed to support the immediate needs of the agricultural sector. "The purpose of the loans covered by this instrument is the financing of working capital, including the refinancing of loans granted for the financing of working capital," the MAIA explains.

It became available to farmers from 15 March 2024.
