Moldovan president meets foreign minister of Malta

Chisinau, April 12 /MOLDPRES/- Head of State Maia Sandu has met with Ian Borg, Minister for Foreign, Trade and European Affairs of Malta, who is also OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and is in Chisinau.
Maia Sandu stressed the importance of assistance from EU member states, including Malta, to adopt the negotiating framework and formally start accession negotiations by late June 2024.
The official said that the authorities want the country to be reunited peacefully, through negotiations, respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova within the internationally recognised borders.
