Moldovan president's message on Easter

Chisinau, May 5 /MOLDPRES/- Orthodox Christians in our country and around the world celebrate Easter today. On this occasion, President Maia Sandu came up with a congratulatory message, the presidential press service has reported.

"We celebrated Easter every year and opened our homes to the light even when the Resurrection was forbidden and churches - destroyed. We did not let ourselves be knocked down, we kept our faith and lived being taught that to be human, to be honest, to be good means to be strong".

On this day, the head of state underlines the beauty of Easter customs and the joy of living these moments with loved ones. "We, in Moldova, when we say to each other, with bright faces, "Christ is risen!" we gather the whole nation in this address", stressed the President.

The head of state notes that our traditions will be passed on to children. "I urge you to promote our customs wherever you are, they are the dearest to our soul. Let us live Easter with joy and love. And with hope that good wins. Christ is risen!", said Maia Sandu.
