
Moldovan government earmarked over 26 million lei to mitigate consequences of emergency situations in Bălți and Cantemir
16 April 2025, Chișinău - The cabinet approved the allocation of over 26 million lei from the Government's Intervention Fund to mitigate the consequences of heavy rains in Cantemir district and the landslides in Bălți municipality, occurred in September 2024.
The decision sees that almost 4 million lei will be provided to Bălți Municipal Council to remove the aftermath of the landslides on St Nicolae Street in the city, which destroyed a road and endangered 2 households.
22 million lei will be allocated to the councils of the localities Capaclia, Cania, Cîrpești, Cociulia, Plopi, Stoianovca and Tartaul, Cantemir district, to repair public roads and culverts damaged by heavy rains.
