Moldovan diplomacy head meets Serbian counterpart
Chisinau, 20 May /MOLDPRES/ -Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu has had a meeting with Foreign Affairs Minister of Serbia Nikola Selaković, on the sidelines of the Council of Europe’s ministerial meeting, held in Turin. The officials discussed the regional security situation and the developments in Moldova’s Transnistrian region, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„I emphasized the political dialogue established between the two countries and the mutual interest to further develop it; I reiterated, in the context, our country’s interest in signing a string of bilateral agreements for the benefit of both states’ citizens,’’ Deputy PM Nicu Popescu said.
At the same time, at the meeting, the two ministers put emphasis on the speeding up of the economic cooperation through turning to good account the potential of economic collaboration between the two countries and increase in the volume of commercial exchanges.
