Moldovan PM meets Ambassador of Germany, expert of German Economic Team
Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita on 18 August had a meeting with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger and an expert at the German Economic Team (GET), Ricardo Giucci, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Natalia Gavrilita thanked for the humanitarian assistance provided by the German side in the fight against the Covid-19 virus, as well as for the assistance for development offered to the country.
The ambassador stressed the importance to strengthen the high-level political dialogue and fully re-establish Moldova’s cooperation with the European Union, in the process of carrying out the democratic transformations.
In the context, Gavrilita asked the GET team for support in carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the sectors from the sphere of local services and productions, which might be exported to European markets.
„We will make a thorough analysis of the services and production sectors, in which Moldova is competitive and correlated to the European market’s needs. Thus, we are set to help the Moldovan companies to fully use the opportunities provided by the Association Agreement,’’ the PM said.
GET expert Ricardo Giucci noted the team’s willingness to maintain the dialogue with the high-level political decision-makers, to further cooperate with economic research institutions from Moldova and contribute to strengthening the relations with the international organizations and civil society.
