Moldovan president meets candidates for judge position
Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon had a meeting today with candidates for the position of judge, who were proposed by the Superior Council of Magistracy.
According to the presidential press service, following the examination of the files through the rigors provided by the Law on status of judge, as well as the spirit of reform in the justice sector, eight judges were appointed. It is about Arhip Alexandru, Chironeț Ioana, Niculcea Andrei, Pascari Roman, Secrieru Iraida, Stratan Sergiu, Talmaci Iana and Turculeț Leonid.
In the context of the difficult reality facing the justice system in our state, Igor Dodon voiced confidence that the appointed persons will help restore the quality of justice and society's trust in the judiciary.
Along with wishes of success in the work, Dodon reiterated the importance of ensuring the independence of the judiciary and functioning of the system only in the interest of justice persons and state.
