Chisinau, Aug 23 /MOLDPRES/- Central Electoral Commission /CEC/ reminds that there are two weeks left until the end of the pre-registration period for Moldovan citizens who intend to vote abroad on October 20.

This is one of the indicators that contribute to determining the number and location of polling stations abroad.

"We reiterate that if the voter intends to vote by post in one of the six countries where this alternative voting method will be implemented, prior registration is mandatory," the CEC press release reads.

On October 20, citizens of the Republic of Moldova are expected to go to the polls to elect president of the country and to vote in the referendum.
