MP of Action and Solidarity Party appointed state secretary at Moldova's State Chancellery
Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ - An MP of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Ana Calinici, today was appointed as state secretary at the State Chancellery. Thus, a lawmaker seat remains vacant, which might be held by Valentina Ghetu, the next alternate candidate on the electoral list of PAS.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, representatives of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) said that, under the procedure, a parliament decision was to be approved, thereby taking note of the vacancy of the MP mandate, after Ana Calinici gives up her mandate. Calinici has 30 days at her disposal for this.
Subsequently, CEC will initiate the procedure of validation of the mandate of MP on the list of PAS alternate candidates. The Constitutional Court is to validate the mandate.
The Commission’s representatives said the vacant mandate of lawmaker might be assigned to Valentina Ghetu, who is the next candidate of the PAS electoral list. She is 70 years old and agronomist by profession.
