Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/- CNA officers raided Chisinau International Airport this morning. The investigations are taking place in a corruption case and are being carried out with the support of the Intelligence and Security Service.
According to the CNA, the case was initiated on June 23, based on operative information, which led to the identification of several episodes of bribery claims from air passengers, on the way out of the Republic of Moldova.
The investigations aim at involving some employees of the General Inspectorate of the Border Police in extorting financial means to facilitate the crossing of the border in violation of Covid rules.
More details about the operation will be announced later.
