
Findings of inquiry in case of incident at Chisinau Airport to be presented till 31 July
Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - Decisions on eventual resignations following the incident which occurred at the Chisinau International Airport will be able to be taken only after the finishing of the inquiry on this case, the findings of which are to be unveiled till 31 July this year. Interior Minister Adrian Efros presented information to this effect today.
„The inquiry is underway. The deadline for presenting the report is 31 July. Based on the inquiry, we will assess all aspects and will establish the involvement of each employee, beginning with the leadership or the executive body, after which decisions will be taken,’’ Interior Minister Adrian Efros said at a news conference today.
Efros also said that he had asked the managerial team for ‘’proposals of measures, for such serious incidents as the one from the Airport to no longer occur.’’
A border policeman and an employee of the Airport’s security died at the Chisinau International Airport on 30 June evening, after they had been shot by a foreign citizen, who was banned from entering Moldova. The aggressor was wounded during the detaining and died at the hospital in several days.
