Moldovan-Israeli cooperation on justice discussed in Jerusalem
Chisinau, January 11 / MOLDPRES /- Minister of Justice Sergiu Litvinenco and State Secretary Iulian Rusu had a meeting in Jerusalem with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Justice of the State of Israel, Gideon Sa'ar. Officials discussed strengthening Moldovan-Israeli cooperation, exchanging experience on justice reform and cooperating in legal aid cases between the two countries.
Litvinenco spoke about the priorities of the Ministry of Justice and about the reforms initiated in the judiciary and the prosecutor's office. In this context, the Minister stressed the interest of our country in deepening bilateral relations, especially in the field of justice.
For his part, Gideon Sa'ar reiterated Israel's openness to cooperation and stressed his country's willingness to share good practices in fighting corruption and strengthening the independence of the judiciary.
Sergiu Litvinenco invited his Israeli counterpart to pay a visit to the Republic of Moldova.
