Several pupils received educational kits, donated with Romania's support
Chisinau, 1 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Over 2,800 pupils from thirty schools received at the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year an educational kit consisting of a schoolbag, supplies and books. The pupils benefited from the gifts thanks to the School Box project. Books and supplies for children from the Republic of Moldova, organized by Idea Papel, with the support of the Romanian Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova (DRRM).
The project was addressed to pupils in the general secondary education in the country, those educational institutions with pupils at risk of dropping out of school and high absenteeism.
"The educational kit, received with joy by the students, includes everything necessary for a start of the school year with eagerness to learn: school bag, books and reading journals in Romanian, supplies, stationery products (pencil, pen, notebooks, pad drawing, watercolors, colored pencils, writing set etc.).
Also, during the 2022-2023 academic year, they will benefit from video recorded readings in Romanian supported by Monica Davidescu, actress of the National Theater in Bucharest", the DRRM said.
The project's goals are to increase pupils' interest in attending school, reading and learning, increasing their motivation for active participation in classes, raising awareness of the importance of Romanian identity among pupils from Moldova, as well as enriching the personal libraries of children in the country with book in Romanian.
