Unexpected searches carried out in several penitentiaries in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 February / MOLDPRES /- On weekend employees of the Security and Prisons Directorate carried out unexpected searches in the cells of detainees in several penitentiary institutions.

According to the data of the National Administration of Penitentiaries of the Republic of Moldova, as a result of the searches, several prohibited objects were detected and seized from various hiding places: mobile phones, accessories for them and information storage devices.

ANP data show that last week, following the searches at checkpoints and checkpoints, the employees of the penitentiary administration system found: four mobile phones and accessories for them, 100 SIM cards, two packages with substance of unknown origin, 54 capsules with white powder , 30 ml of vegetable substance and 8 liters of alcoholic beverage.
