Moldovan parliament organises anniversary event of great composer

Chisinau, 28 February /MOLDPRES/- On 1 March great composer Eugen Doga turns 80 years old. On this occasion, the parliament organizes an anniversary event “Eugen Doga – 80 springs”. Master Eugen Doga will attend the event, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The agenda includes a photo exhibition, posters and publications from the personal collection of master and from archive of the Academy of Sciences. Music signed by Eugen Doga will resound in parliament in the interpretation of children of the Eugen Doga Music School, Ciprian Porumbescu High School of Music, Voices of Spring choir and the quartet of Radio Moldova. The program will culminate with a recital by Doga and panpipe player Vasile Iovu.
Attending the event will be MPs, ministers, people of culture and art, diplomats. It is organized under the patronage of Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu, in partnership with the Academy of Sciences and Culture Ministry.
“Recognized worldwide, the music by master Eugen Doga resists time and crosses borders. The day of 1 March will be Music Day in parliament along with famous Eugen Doga,” Candu said.
The event will take place on 1 March at 12:00 at the parliament and will be followed by an autograph session.
