Chisinau, 28 November /MOLDPRES/ – During the official round of negotiations in format 5 + 2 held in Vienna on 27 – 28 November 2017, under aegis of the Austrian Presidency in the OSCE, the progress in the process of settling the Transnistrian conflict was welcomed. Also, priority issues on the negotiation agenda were drawn, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The participants in the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Transnistrian settlement process (the 5+2 negotiation format) appreciated the successes in opening the circulation on bridge Gura Bacului – Bacioc, apostille of the Transnistrian studies diplomas, ensuring normal functioning of the schools with teaching on the basis of the Latin script in the Transnistrian region, restoring telephone links between the two banks of the Dniester and ensuring free access to agricultural lands located along the Tiraspol – Ribnita motorway.

Similarly, parties agreed to continue efforts to identify solutions and other issues on negotiation process agenda. Thus, there remain issues concerning registration of cars in the Transnistrian region for their admission to international road traffic, ensuring free movement of persons, goods and services between the two banks of the Dniester and implementation of other agreed agreements.

As a result of the discussions in the 5+2 negotiation format, it was signed a protocol, serving as a basis for continuing the process of negotiations on the Transnistrian conflict settlement.
