All highways practicable in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ – All highways are accessible and practicable in Moldova, told the head of operational service of the state road administration (SOASD), Sergiu Capatina.

According to cited source, snow melts on the roads because outside temperatures are positive. "All sectors that pose a danger to road traffic are monitored and patrolled by employees in the territory and, if needed, it is intervened," said Sergiu Capatina.

According to the Chisinau city hall’s information and media communication service, there is being used snow removal equipment in each Chisinau sector. All streets in Moldovan capital are practicable, including secondary ones and suburban access roads.

Interviewed by agency, the head of Department of Foreign Relations and Communication of RED Union Fenosa, Vasile Gribincea, said that there have not been any incidents that would disrupt operation of electrical networks today. "The number of individual requests does not exceed the statistics of an ordinary day. Similarly, the company carries out scheduled activities for maintenance and repair of facilities," said Gribincea.  

The head of weather forecasts centre (CPM) of the state hydrometeorological service (SHS), Ghenadie Rosca, has stated for agency that during the night it will snow but it will be foggy. "In upcoming days, the weather is going to be chilly. There will some snow fall on 18, 20, 21 and 22 February. The day will have a maximum temperature +5ºC, and during the night –10ºC," said Rosca.

The meteorologists issued Yellow Code of precipitation in quantities up to 15 – 20 litres/m2, isolated 20 – 25 l/m2 today. There are expected snow and sleet in the north and centre, and it will rain, predominantly, in the south. There will be scratches on wires and branches; there will form snowdrifts on the roads. The warning is valid until midnight.
